What is Falcon USD?
Falcon USD (USDf) is Falcon Finance's overcollateralized synthetic dollar. Users mint it by depositing eligible collateral, including stablecoins (USDT, USDC, DAI) and non-stablecoins such as BTC, ETH and select altcoins.
What problem does Falcon USD solve?
USDf provides a dollar-denominated onchain liquidity and settlement asset while allowing users to unlock liquidity from crypto collateral without selling it.
How does Falcon USD work?
Classic Mint accepts stablecoins (1:1) or non-stablecoins with overcollateralization. Peg support combines overcollateralization, neutral hedging and cross-market arbitrage. USDf can be staked into ERC-4626 vaults to receive yield-bearing sUSDf.
